1. Who we are
BharatDairy ("we", "our", or "the app") is a dairy farm management application available on Android and the web. It is developed and operated by the BharatDairy team, based in India.

2. What data we collect
We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the app's features:

3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the features of BharatDairy:
- Displaying your herd, milk production, health, pregnancy, schedule and finance records
- Syncing your data across your devices (web and mobile)
- Sending local device notifications (reminders) for upcoming vaccinations, deworming events, expected calvings, and post-breeding heat checks — all notifications are scheduled on your device and no data is sent to any server to deliver them
- Generating summaries and reports within the app
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties except the following infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage. Data is stored on Google Cloud servers. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud Vision API — Used to process milk slip photos for text extraction (OCR). Images are sent to this API for processing and are not retained by Google beyond the API call.
- Vercel — Hosts the BharatDairy web application. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
5. Data security
Your farm data is stored in Google Firebase and is scoped privately to your Google account. No other user can access your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Access requires Google Sign-In authentication.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, you can:
- Delete individual records within the app at any time
- Request complete account and data deletion by emailing us at dairybharat9@gmail.com
We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
BharatDairy is intended for use by adults (18 years and above) who manage dairy farms. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Permissions used by the app

9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — view all data stored about you (visible within the app)
- Correction — edit any incorrect data within the app
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your cow list as an Excel file using the built-in export feature

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
